Suri was dreamt up when we wanted to find a way to blend age-old traditions with modern-day life. Maintaining a cultural identity is so challenging in a world that is ever-changing. There is simply not enough time for adults to share cultural rituals with their kids that generations before were able to.

We wondered how to pass down what had been shared with us. What if there was a way to take influences that mattered to us now and pair them with what mattered to generations before us? We could fill the need to share things that were rooted at our core.

Enter Suri. A brand that aims to match old and new. A brand that is current and relevant. A brand made for you and your family.

In Sanskrit, Surya means “sun” and Suri means “sage wisdom”. A perfect combination for a brand inspired by nature and learning.

Conscious and collectible

We thought of a product that we would want to buy for ourselves and loved ones. Products that are not only fun to share but are beautiful to display in our home. Suri pairs essentials we were taught with fresh elements, rich colors, and new perspective.

Where generations meet in the middle

Designed with children, parents and grandparents in mind, our product considers various components. Larger sized cards and print allow for grandparents to comfortably play the game with grandkids. Parents seek fresh, modern and innovative aesthetics and Suri delivers. Kiddos want bright, bold colors and toys that they can play with over and over. Our product pairs stories that generations before have passed down with today's family dynamic.

Love the earth, love thyself

Our first product, the Hindu memory game, is made from recycled cardstock and eco-friendly inks. It is printed in our favorite place - New York City! Best of all, its packaging is made from durable canvas sourced from the U.S.A.
